Road Crews/Snow Removal

I work security at the National Center For Atmospheric Research in Boulder, and we get a large amount of visiting scientists from around the world.
Once, I was speaking with a woman from over seas (can't remember where), and she stated that the snow removal in Colorado was terrible in comparison to places over in Europe. I always thought CDOT did a commendable job of clearing our roads, even on places like Berthoud Pass. I was wondering about other's opinions about snow removal over the pond, here in Colorado, or other places.

if you want to see a difference in snow removal try driving highway 287 over Raynolds pass on the Montana Idaho border. You always slow down before you cross the border because the road goes from clear and dry on the Montana side (if it isnt windy) to glare ice on the Idaho side.
