Macugnaga 54 cm

112 cm... is... just... unrealistic. I doubt that.

Es ist die Wahrheit, mehr oder weniger: 100 Zentimeter Schnee auf der Göscheneralp!

I'll be on Austria in November, good news!!

What is the chance of a warm-up that would melt this snow at the higher elevation?

freezing level in Sölden (Austria) will be rising to 3200 metres within 4 days... but on the glaciers they will have sufficient snow.

Andermatt (Switzerland) is opening this weekend already!!!

Right now Switzerland is where it's at. Austria hasn't benefitted from the recent flow patterns, conditions rather deteriorating there.

The Lecht ski resort in GBR has opened for the weekend. Good snow conditions too by the looks of the pictures I've seen...

Had some good snow on the glacier in Tignes last week; alas, being autumn, also had high winds, which shut the lifts for 2.5 days (the .5 entailed a nasty walk for everyone along a ridge with gusts up to 75mph - people being knocked over - to get to the funicular to get down).

But it was good to get tracks!
