. The only good double black runs at Hunter are K27, Anaparanda, and OCCASIONALLY Upper Crossover. All the other expert runs are in bad condition. But Westway... that is something I wanna ski! 100% natural snow as steep as K27 supposedly and 5 times longer!
See, goes to show you one man's meat is another man's poison.
I love Claire's way, Westway, Way Out, and Taylor's run. Edges need to be sharp but man you can fly...usually empty, its better suited to some SG skis though my longest skis are only GS and I open them up...scare the crap out of myself but its all good. I have literally straight lined some of those and acheived speeds that would probably get me arrested in a car....also had an explosive accident which ended up actually moving my bindings and bending them....fortunately the bindings did what they were supposed to and sacrificed themselves for my legs' safety.
Annapurna I skied twice ever...and avoid it for the reasons you like it....the bumps. Had the scariest crash there once...got past the bumps, then being frustrated with my pathetic mogul skills, tucked in the smooth section and started to accelerate to uh-oh speeds. Tried to make a turn, did not fully comit, edges did not engage, and fell, went sliding on ice completely out of control head first towards the trees I thought I was going to die...thank God I finally came to a stop a few feet shy of being launched into the woods. People came after me to see if I was okay...it was hairy.
