Just me, (and I may be a little biased), but she looks like she's doing ok on what is considered a women's big mountain ski.

I agree. I've also got an 11 year old daughter that has an adult ski and a Jr. Race ski. She rips on both. Her adult ski is a Rossi Scratch BC 150 and her Jr. is a Volkl Racetiger GS 156. She is asking for a longer ski, something in the mid 160s. She will be on new adult boots this year as well, Dalbello Kryton Storms.
I think alot of it has do with the ability and strength of the kid. A strong skier cannot only handle an adult ski they can excel. I saw a dramatic increase in skill and confidence when she switched from her Volkl supersport jrs. to the Scratches and Race tigers.
