So what happened to the Bogner that made the Spyder you sold me surplus?

I still have the Bogner, a gift from wifie that will not likely ever be for sale. It's insulated.

The Marmot Resolution is a shell, not insulated. The insulation with the marmot Resolution is at the discretion of the wearer.

I would wear the Bogner (in appropriate temps) at ESA in Stowe, at Aspen, and other such places - but not at Mad River Glen. I would wear the orange one I bought at Mad River Glen, if you get my drift, where I also have worn the Marmot Resolution (which I also wore at the EpicSki Gathering in Utah last season).

Just curious what color is so hot you gotta sell your Marmot for it? Tell us what color trend you are setting this season! ;-)

The color that's hot is whatever you like. For me - at this time, of course - it's kinda muted pumpkin orange, sorta.

Truth be told, it appeared to me and wifie that I have a lot of duplication in the ski clothing department -as well as some other departments. Last night, I sorted out those that will be given to the less fortunate (clients of wifie's agency), those that will go to consignment stores - and the Marmot Resolution which is way too good for either, thus, this thread.

Also if the truth be told . . . some things just don't fit any more and I'm admitting that they never will.

I still have five - count 'em, five - pairs of ski pants I'm keeping (for now). All the others are going to consignment.

Cool - orange is the new black! I really liked the white jacket concept when I was shoppin' but my ego told me I won't show up in pics and we can't have that, so muted understated pumpkin marmot orange it is for me too!

Hey if you are somewhere between midget and average like me I need some ski pants. If you played basketball in high school they probably won't work for me. Let me know!

Wish I was as skinny as you oboe--I would love to be able to buy your cast offs every year, skis included....

Skinny is a relative term. Relative to my current girth, I WAS skinny. That was then. This is now.

I'm afraid to check it out. It's waist size, not weight size that counts.

Sorry to hijack your thread, Obes, but I must defend myself.

I did not, nor would I ever, force Jeff to drink nightly beers and put more than he wants on his plate, nor would I chain him to a chair and chide him into being sedentary, causing lassitude and a growing girth. I commit to you that the libel printed here is just that: fantasy without fact or merit.

This disclaimer is a public service announcement relieving wives everywhere the world over of any fault whatsoever in dealing with this type of malfeasance .

Back to you, Obes.

Hey, I saw a photo of Jeff with his new grandchild, and he could fit into the Marmot Resolution shell.

Anyone who wants to see a complete and revealing set of photos of the jacket, please pm me with your e-mail address.

(ahem) From seeing the photo of Jeff (who happened in the photo to be holding his new grandchild), I believe that Jeff would fit into the shell comfortably, but not both Jeff and the grandchild at the same time.

In addition, it is my considered opinion and sincere belief that Jeff, plus the grandchild, plus MattL could not fit into the jacket at the same time. If they took turns wearing it, then it could work out, but the jacket would be way oversized for the grandchild and I'm not sure what MattL reports for waist and chest sizes.
