Anybody heading up there? They extended the time from dec 1-15 - to the 19th this year. You pay the price that the date is

I'm in better shape than I ever have been and I'm probably gonna live there (figuratively), business permitting!

And congrats for epic making the ski rags for the ESA!

Business has quadrupled this year. I was going to expand my shop and free up some space for a press, but its just been too hectic.
But skibuilders.com is doing good and we have a ton of really creative people there now.

I'm gonna try to get some new boots from the same reseller I got my Rossi's from, and spend a lot more time trying to convince gravity I really did lose weight.

And if I finally find a computer tech thats semi useful, I think i have the wife liking the idea of watching me bleed from every orifice from my awesome ski abilities, so hopefully I can make it to one of the ESA's - if not this year, next. I don't have to pay extra for any trees I wipe out, do i?

just an update.. opening nov 28th is still on schedule.. and its getting colder.

I may be there from the first on - can't beat the prices even if the *cough* snow isn't the best

That's Chestnut in IL?

With river-bank slopes running down to the Mississippi?

I skied there for years when living in Iowa.

A nice Midwest ski hill. It's amazing what they've done with 300 ft. of vertical.

You can polish great carves on those porcelain slopes.

How about a Demo gathering?

Hi Everybody, Lets take full advantage of dollar days and have a gathering on Dec. 13th. There will be demo skis there from Elan,Salomon and Rossignol. Maybe I can get some other reps to man up and show.

See you all there.

I've never skied ChestNut Mountain. My daughter and I uaually head to Cascade. That would be a good time to give it a try!

I am heading to Cascade tomorrow if anyone else is going.

PM me if anyone else is headed up there

hopefully I will have enough days in by the 13th that a demo would matter!! lol

I messed my wrist up, so I'm in healing mode - or maybe you can call me one pole joe. I should have it healed up by the opening.. cross your fingers.

Wednesdays and Thursday would be cool with me. The demo/rep idea on the 13 sounds interesting if i can get my bro-in-law out as he's been talking boots forever.

Any of you folks do Granite Peak? I have considered a roadtrip there but would like comparison to Chestnut. For the midwest, i like Chestnut as it feels bigger than other similar same size hills/valleys ...

w00t!! My new (old) Dalbello Super MX boots should be here the 1st.. enough time to bang around the shop and get used to them!

Conditions are looking good so far even with this heat. When it gets closer to the time I'll post when I'm going - but early and often is my theme this year!

Weekends are really hard for me - thats my busy days. Not sure about the 13th.. the recession would have to hit first. Otherwise I'll probably be swamped like I am this weekend!
