Newsflash: Summit County Snow!

So I decided to finally peel my eyes away from the computer, after sitting through four hours of writing assignments, interrupted only by occasional posts on Epic. Turning towards the balcony, I was struck by a beautiful sight: Snow is falling from the mountaintops!

I just had to go pick up my car from getting serviced and looked at the mountains and said to the shuttle driver that it looked like it was going to snow any minute up there. Good to hear of daytime snow!

I've been out of town since Wednesday last week and just got back. On my drive up to Evergreen today (yes, I had to go into the office for the first time in a couple months...my life is hell) I noticed that there was snow at distinctly lower altitudes than last Wednesday on the drive to ABasin.

Bring it!

That is fantastic to hear. My house down in the city didn't get a flake but really as much as I want snow here too I'd rather the storm sit over you guys and cover the mountains in a nice white blanket.

To give you an idea of the temperatures, this morning, when I went to work at the Barney Ford Museum in Breck, the lock box was completely frozen. So frozen that the town maintenance guy worked on it for 30 minutes, without luck. The snow is still happening.

Loveland was a blast this morning, even though they'd groomed.

Loveland was pretty fun this weekend. Always something really special about October skiing, no matter how easy the run!
