Cheapest lodging for Deer Valley & Park City area?

Went earlier this year, and I took the bus daily from my hotel at SLC to Snowbird... and it was not a pleasant experience being in a packed limited-time, once-a-day bus & carrying skis with me.

I want to avoid those extra hours of transportation from SLC to the mountains, plus get more skiing time. Skiing Deer Valley morning till 4pm, plus Park City 4:30-7:30pm might be the solution!

So, What's the cheapest lodging for Deer Valley & Park City area for let's say January or February when the good snow is, and going on a Monday through Friday?

Also, are there shuttles that circle between Deer Valley and Park City constantly, as I'll depend on them!? Thanks.

I am going by myself. So far the Carriage house has $119 per night. No hostels there?

PC is much better with a car. Cheapest rates are $30/day, but you'll save the $70 RT airport shuttle.

"Cheap" and "Deer Valley" are not to be mentioned in the same sentence.

Well, Park City and Deer Valley are next to each other. There is got to be some sort of a bus circling between the two locations. So where is that $30 a day place? That sounds too cheap to be true! Yes, I am aware that I have to pay for the shuttle from the airport.

Check out Crestview Condo's in Kimball Junction. Nice, quiet place about 10 minutes from Park City (or less).

March of '07 we paid $270 per night but, that price included a 4x4 Toyota Highlander.

Nice condo units. One bedroom with pullout couch that was actually comfortable. 2 baths...one without a shower.

Perfect location for skiing all the gorgeous mountains. Awesome trip.

That's it!!.......$38 dorm rooms. Or, $105 per night for one.

Wow, to be in Park City for that price is priceless!!

There are several motels in park city such as the Best Western, Ramada, etc. Those are about as cheap as it gets for a ski town. There are also some older condos in Park City that can be pretty cheap.

I am very interested in that $38 dorms per night. Has anyone stayed in the dorms... are the beds safe to sleep on... how close are the beds to each other!?... are the showers and bathrooms clean? Is this lodge near by a city bus stop?

I found a link for the public bus transportation:

I believe it is right in town and if you go to thier website they have pictures of the bunks, lobby and also list the rates.

Looks like a real good deal to me.
