Yes Ma'am!

It's true though...I'm a big wuss on injuries. This is really the first one I've ever had and it's kind of messing with my mind.

I broke my wrist and rode my mt bike almost immediately, and I'm a GIRL!!!

I bow to your overwhelming manliness.

I'll contemplate it while out on the snow tomorrow *fingers crossed*. It looks like the main meeting I need to make happen today is going to, so tomorrow may be free enough to escape.

If anyone wants to carpool, split gas, or whatever let me know. I'm leaving from Capitol Hill at 8am sharp.

I've done some googling and it looks like the ABasin lodge has WiFi. To those who've used it...is it open access? Also, is there cell phone coverage? I may need to do a little working on Wednesday, but if I have internet and phone I can work from anywhere. It looks like I can I'd be very happy since we're about to push something out live for the first time and I want to be sure.

Thanks!

I have the CO pass and will be at A-basin...James has my number and we have tentative plans to meet up. I will likely be driving from Frisco around 9 am if anybody needs a ride.

Cell phone coverage is virtually non-existent.

That would mean more trips to pull out the laptop...is there ANY coverage at the lodge? Just need enough for the phone to pull down emails periodically.

Probably not. Every now and again, I've seen somebody get a brief signal, but its pretty rare. Realistically though, you won't be spinning laps. Take your run or two and then enjoy the party. You will not believe how crowded its going to get tomorrow.

Cool...never done an opening day. Thanks for the beta.

First post.

Hey, man, I'm in Capitol Hill as well. I don't think I'm going to be able to make it out until the weekend, but I'm at 10th and Logan and from a quick view of your profile, we seem to be pretty similarly situated. I'd definitely be down to carpool in the future. I have the 5 mountain pass and A-Basin is definitely a favorite. Just let me know, via PM or whatever.

BTW, TheGnar and I are carpooling up tomorrow morning early. I don't have a roof rack but have a split rear seat, so it's possible to get skis and 3 people in there I think. If anyone wants to claim that remaining rear seat let me know.

Yup, pretty much dead with what lift serve will be available at Basin (of course you can go to Loveland if cell connection is king of your day).

If you’re desperate for cell connect and like some added exercise (including a possible skirmish with patrol) you can climb atop Pali off load point or hike on up Lenawee onto Zuma ridge and look toward Lake Dillon to find a signal. Otherwise if the clouds are aligned and snow cover on East Wall bounces a signal just right; near the patio end of Black Mountain Lodge you may pick up a signal bar...

However, I would caution not to be looking down at your phone much during opening …traffic around you will require heads up with pole or riding hands at 10 & 2
