Whose coming to Europe winter 2008 -2009

Thread Starter
Anyone coming to Europe this winter why not tell everyone where you will be so that people can meet up if they are in the same area.

I will be based in Bourg St Maurice, France for the season but going to many different resorts in France and Switzerland. Anyone fancy meeting up for a ski or board please do get in touch.

I'll be in Val d'Isere from Dec. 27 to Jan 10. Anyone planning a trip and fancy a meet-up, please PM me!

I'll be in Made weekends from early December to close, Christmas week, Easter, and weekdays any time it's snowed. Open invite to any Bears who want to make some turns together.

If I get to Canada this season, as I hope, I won't have much time or cash to ski anywhere other than Made, though I can do the odd day at places like Courmayeur, Chamonix, Andermatt and St Moritz from Milan if anyone wants to meet up, preferably during the week.

If you're in Milan, Made may be worth a stop. Just ask for me at the tram. I'm the only American who has a pass there.

I will be in Chamonix with the Family for presidents week (Feb. 14-20) I generally like to ski different terrain than everyone else does (ie. steep, exposed, etc.) so I would love to hook up with anyone who knows the mountains there!

It's looking like Chamonix/Courmayeur/Via Lattea/maybe somewhere else mid March into mid April for me.

Hi Chris,

Enjoyed hooking up with you at the end of last season...sorry we didn't do it sooner as I enjoyed the lines you showed me back in Aiguille Rouge.

Unfortunately, I don't plan on being in Europe this season, which means more off piste powder for you!

We plan on being based in Summit CO going forward, so if you make it out here, look me up and I will try to return the favor.

I am sure that you will have a great time Michael, but maybe you should change your location to: "Like to travel, may have time to ski" Hopefully the adrenalin will get you through the weekend and the jet lag will not hit you until you get back.

I highly recommend going to Europe to ski, but would go for a longer stay later in the year if you can pull it off.

The conversion rate of the Euro Peso to the US one has considerably altered, making the old smoke cheaper again fwiw.

Yup. Though no one has any money of any stripe these days, so it's all moot.

the expected forecast for the savoie (france), berner oberland (switzerland) and wallis (switzerland) is sunday to monday and monday to tuesday up to 100 cm

hehe, looks like my luck is changing this year!

looks to be an awesome first week - the 15 day (dunno how reliable) forecasts looks good too.

At the very least, it looked like meribel could do with a top up. so glad it's going to happen!

anyone going to be at meribel? between 24th jan and 5th feb?
