Being from Oregon I have always taken pride in their microbrew industry. I always try any new brew they put out and I'm usually very pleased. Recently, a trend has started that worries me though. Full Sail (who makes the best amber ale in the nation) put out a brew called Half Pipe Porter. I saw it and was excited until I saw the carton had an image of a snowboarder doing a trick. Last night I was buying ale and saw Deschutes had a new brew called Cinder Cone Red. I bought a six pack, took it home and was enjoying the brew when closer inspection of the label revealed a snowboarder doing a trick. What's with the snowboarders on labels? Is the Oregon brewing industry selling out?
