When i just ski with other people we dont compete, we help eachother, talk about were to go, if one loses a ski we help, but i am not into team sports. I sail and used to competitively rockclimb. in sailing i really dont like team racing. I have never been into soccor, basketball, baseball.

Second from the bottom eh? Are you saying you are dchan? Maybe you should report yourself to yourself.

I play rugby. For those of you who play it (and not many in the US do ) it is basically the definition of a team sport.

I really believe skier's are a pretty diverse lot they can be BOTH team players and Lone rangers .. It's more of a preferance than a limitation--but that my 2cents

I did all the competitive team sports( Hoops, BB, and god forbid Football) thru hs and college.(some at the varsity) level . I do appreciate some of the transferable values learned from that arena

But for several yrs now I have focused on the more non competitve or "compete with yourself activities " like skiing , running , road- biking, yes and even golf. I'm now into personal bests rather than winning/losing . Hell we're allwinners on Epic --aren't we????

These activities represent more realistically who i am now .

Skiing 25-30 days a yr with a great group of friends/family we all really learn from each other and enjoy just being ALIVE , in shape and at doing something physically demanding ( at some of our ages ) reasonably well !
