OK their has got to be someone out there in my same situation. No I am not some guy trying to hook up with women or a nut job. I am actually married and have 3 Kids. My wife doen't Ski and they are too young. .

I would like to get a group together who would like to possibly hook up and go skiing once or twice a year. I see these Roll calls or GTG's on Cruises and it seems like it really works. I have have seen where some have been doing this for 10 years straight on cruises. Doesn't matter what the level of Skier you are because I am sure we will have mostly intermediates and a few bgginers too and maybe even some advanced to give us some tips. Let me know if this is something you might be interested in.

I seen the Epic GTG but I was trying to do something a little closer maybe I could drive too.

I have been Skiing for 5 years mostly Ski blues and Skirt blacks not really fans of moguls.

Oh yea I forgot

I'll likely be at Pagossa Springs Co mid January, and will be skiing DMR and Wolf Creek.
Would love to meet up with some Bears for a few runs, and maybe someone who can show me a round a bit.

Wolf Creek

Consistantly has the best early season conditions in the southwest. There often are no friends on powder days but maybe we can change that at lunch. I'll look for a storm after Thanksgiving, the only time there are bad lift lines at Wolf Creek. By Christmas usually so many other resorts are open it's no problem. When there last year I experienced a white out on the slopes and a black out in Pagosa Springs the same day. Next day the road was closed due to avalanche, but I hear it rarely closes from the east side of the pass.
Other place I'd like to hit this season is Aspen, 4 mountains, killer tree skiing in the Big Burn at Snowmass and very fast lift service to over 4400' of vertical at Aspen and Aspen Highlands are both great. Haven't been to Buttermilk, the easiest of the 4 resorts.

Eeek! December 6th is the first day of coaching so I'll be on mountain with the kiddos at Copper until 3ish. Any chance you'll be skiing there? Not sure I can take Friday off.

COSkiGirl, do you coach a kids ski team? Very cool, hopefully we can hook up when Little Miss Road Rash and I are in Colorado Jan 8-12th. I know she always likes to meet other cyclists. Do you instruct also? She would like to take a day or so lesson somewhere, but the all day kid things seem to be such a crap shoot. I think I would rather get her some private lessons. If you don't, is there anyone at Copper you would recommend?

I would love to ski with you and Little Miss while you're here! I am a licensed coach for Team Summit at Copper mountain. I have our youngest ones who are 5 & 6 years old. I am not a certified instructor though so I'll have to pass on that part but let me work on a referral for you. Tsavo would be another good resource to get some names as well. Remind me how old she is and what level? That being said, I would love to hook up for some turns. It's going to be a bit of a crazy weekend for me as one of my co-coaches is getting married that Saturday but hopefully we can work something out for Sunday?

She is 12 and probably a lower intermediate. While in CO at Christmas last year, her favorite areas to ski were Peak 7 at Breck and the Blue Runs in Blue Sky Basin. Sunday would be great. I will probably have her take a lesson at Copper on Friday, maybe ski ABasin on Saturday and then back to Copper on Sunday. Will contact you as the trip gets closer.

More fabulous skiing partners to look forward to! Sounds like a great plan. If you prefer to try another mountain on Sunday I have a Colorado pass as well so I'm open to any. My guess though is that she's going to love Copper since she liked those two areas. This just adds to my stoke!
