Gore season passes for the entire family, 2 adults @ $600/ea. Kids that register for their Gore season passes before they turn 7 y.o. are "free." I haven't paid for the lessons yet--need to remember to sign up before Nov. 15.

Also got a Mad Card for me! That way I "have no choice" but to ski MRG at least 3* next year or it would be a "waste of money." ;-)

Soon to be between BCC and LCC. Making decisions on this is freaking hard...

Think I'm going with:
Alta/Snowbird - $1600 (OUCH)
5 Day Pack Brighton - $225
6 Day Pack Solitude - $258 (refillable at $43/pop)

Planning on at least 70 days of skiing... Open to input on this one if anyone has any ideas about how to get more for my money!

Ehhhhh a lot of the posters in this thread are either at small hills or have special deals because of being employees/military/college. The Epic Ski poster tends to be a special kind of skiier who skiis a lot and is typically connected to the business of skiing. The Epic Pass for the Colorado folks is a great deal too, but that's about the extent of it.

There was the Silver Pass in Utah which was 30 days of skiing at each of the Utah resorts for $2300. It sold out in like a week. I think for most skiiers who don't work in the business and aren't college students, you're just stuck paying full price most of the time. At the places you've probably heard of, a season pass is then on the order of $1000-$1500.

That actually makes me feel better I am an avid skier and travel all throughout the Canadian rockies, but most places are $1000 or so for a regular pass. Seeing the deals here I was pretty dissapointed, especially when I know that a great mountain like Whitefish, MT is cheaper than the not as great mountains here (Sunshine, Lake Louise)

So I guess I need to get some hook ups in the industry!

Waterville Valley, again. $400.

Is whitefish that much better than banff/LL?
Why do you think so? Is it just the snow?

I haven't been to whitefish, but I am planning on checking it out. I have heard really good things about big mountain, but it has never been a "must hit" for me. This is my first year in southern alberta, and I seem to be favoring Bozeman for a long weekend in Montana

I live in Whitefish, and there is no way I'd say Whitefish is better than Lake Louise! Maybe that's because Lake Louise is a vacation spot to me (less discovered)?

Naturally, I have an unlimited pass for Big Mountain, $535. I rarely ski weekends, but don't want to suddenly find that I can't ski with a friend without a hit to the wallet.

This is purchased NOW? How about if you purchased early (like last spring)?

Not the biggest nor the greatest but we're more than happy with White Pass, WA. For my family of four it cost ~$760 which include day/night passes to Timberline (Mt. Hood), Mission Ridge (WA) and Silver Mountain (Idaho). And, yes, we do use quite a bit of the additional locales.

I'm not exactly sure. They don't put the passes on sale until about the first of August. I know there was a discount, but I don't think it was much more than about $150-200 on the most expensive pass.

On the other hand... you can buy an unlimited season pass at our "Town" hill, Snow King, for $129.00. (Although that's actually a galloping 30% increase over what it's been for the last 5 years or more.)

A lot of locals seem to be planning to ski Snow King and Teton Pass this winter.

Epic Pass, got it awhile ago, going to A-Basin this weekend. Yes, sir!

I can't imagine, with the two right there in town, that any local, other than someone who's rich enough to join the Yellowstone Club or something, would choose to pay that money. I'm sure JH is better, but more than TEN TIMES better??????? I'm going to pay $8 or less a day here. To do that at JH would mean more days than the place is probably open!!!! I guess those rich people paying such ridiculous prices also drop more in the bars and restaurants.
