Brands known to be narrower/wider

Thread Starter
I'm going to buy a stiff expert freeride boot to go along with some new AC50's this year (YAY!) Are there certain brands that are known for being better for a narrow foot? I'm a size 12 sneaker but that's just cuz there long. The volume and width of my feet is pretty small.

Obviously I'll get fitted and try a bunch, but the more info I have before my purchase the better I'll feel about laying out the coin.

At this point every big manufacturer is trying to fit every foot with at least one model. As a general rule of thumb, the higher the performance the lower the volume.

I'd say skip the 'Freeride' designation and look at race boots. you'll be more likely to be in a truly narrow lasted boot. Freeride boots can be lots of different things, sometimes they are race-like fit with a rubber boot board and flashy graphics, sometimes they are more 'comfort' oriented boots with flashy graphics... race boots are race boots.

Every factory now produces a Freeride Modifed plug. all running 98mm and in exeptional cases, WC boots with different Pigment in 95mm. See your bootfitter and see what they can russle up

Agree with the Zoo. Tecnica and Head for instance both make a boot in the Freeride line that is identical to the race boot. And Whiteroom is correct that as performance range goes up generally boots get narrower.

Also unfortunately means width and price and inverse. Spend more get less.
