I've advertised these recently, buried in another race skis thread, without good pictures. I'm surprised that they have not sold. They are exceptional. "real deal" skis, with almost unused 10-18 race bindings. I doubt if there's a better pair of SG's out there.

These are a 2004-5 model ski. The radius is marked as ">33m" as that's all that was required then. They have a bigger radius than that. They probably are not FIS compliant, but they don't really check until the Nor-Am level, and normally not even then.

The skis came out of the USST pool that year. They were skied in, tested, timed, etc. We acquired a couple of pairs of them, through a tech, before the season started. This pair was then ground with a warm grind by Graham Lonetto of Edgewise in Stowe...he's a former WC tech. My son raced primarily in the East from 2004-6. These skis were skied about six times. His cold grind skis got a ton of use. In the 2006-7 season, he was picked up by a new company, got access to good speed skis, and could no longer use these.

But, because they ran so well, we decided to keep them "in case." The skis do run well. My son ran a USSA DH {a pretty turny DH} on them, and won by a 3+ second margin. They have tested a bit faster than a couple of pairs of his current skis, which were skied on the WC. Granted, they were probably on the slower side for WC skis, but still....These truck. They're also pretty easy to ski.

They have never had a file touch them, other than having the bevels set. They have been ground once. They have been sharpened with stones since. They have had the flouro's cleaned out of them immediately after racing, and the bases are loaded with wax. They have has frequent hot-boxing treatments. The bases are real greasy.

We would like $250, plus shipping. Skis are located in NE, and we might be able to work something out without shipping, as we live north of Boston and we're in Vermont, NH and Maine pretty frequently. I would imagine that the bindings alone are worth $100+, by the way.

PM me, please with questions and for more pics. Somebody must need a fast ride at a bargain price! Thanks!

If I didn't already have a set of speed skis and no money, I would jump at this deal. What are the tip-waist-tail measurements? What is the base/side bevel? Got a close-up pic of the base grind?

Ghost:

I don't have the exact dimensions. They aren't printed on the ski, and I'm not entirely sure if they are "normal" Atomic. I think they're about 92-93mm at the tip, 64-65 at the waist, and 82-83 at the tail, based on a quick look and a lousy caliper.

They have a 1 degree bevel on the entire base, and a 3 degree on the entire sidewall....nothing funky in terms of that. No variable bevels.

I have some pictures of the base, but I have a brutal time getting good pictures of the structure. I get a lot of black...shiny black..... and edge. I might be able to check on the exact grind specks to give you those if they would help. Although it was his warm grind ski, it's not a warm "wet" open structure. Warm to us would be perhaps sun, or humidity. For example, Le Massif in Quebec, next to the river. Or spring, with more sun.

Send me your email in a PM and I'll see what I can do with pics.

They're very, very good skis.

Thanks.

I had some pictures of the bases on these skis. Not great pics, as you'll see, but they give you some feel for how much edge is left, the structure, and the fact that they "shine" and are loaded with wax. Hope they are helpful.

Skis are perfect, seasoned and fast....and $250!!

Thanks.
