Since I got a minor concussion this past weekend while skiing I'm in the market for a helmet. I have a very hot head and need a helmet that has very good ventilation. Any suggestions?

An impact - like the one that rang your bell - probably warrants the purchase of a new helmet. :

Anyway, like they said “IT MUST FIT”. If you don’t wear it, it won’t do any good. Here is a link to a Fitting Guide .
Not all helmets are created equally. I would only use a helmet that is certified by either, Snell Memorial Foundation, ASTM F2040 CE's EN1077 Safety Standards. Not all models by all manufacturers are certified. There will be a label inside the helmet to indicate it is certified. They drop weights onto the helmet at different angles and heights to test the helmet.
The foam liner is designed to withstand one impact. If you do crash and hit your head call the manufacturer to see if you can send the helmet back.
