This is a vacation week for my boys (Ages 8 & 10). Wondering about a US or Canadian resort....Western....that might have the most wintery conditions at this late time of the season. Any experience/suggestions ? I realize there are many weather / seasonal variables....but I'm looking for the best odds. I have a few ideas....wondering about yours...

Mid-April is not prime time for ski trips, and you should be able to book your travel much closer to the event without financial penalty. By late February or early March, the season will be half over, and you'll have much better information about snowfall and temperature patterns.

Summit County, CO!

Vail/Breckenridge/Arapahoe Basin etc.... should have pretty good conditions as their high base elevations excepting Vail keep things pretty nice in the spring.

Had ypu gone to Bachelor that time this year you would have had mid winter powder. Not uncommon in the spring, and rain is more likely in December than April here.

Of course, Powdr Corp starts cutting back on lifts about then.

Europe rocks that time of year. Course it costs about four times as much now, with the exchange rate.

BTW: nice signature.
