moving a custom footbed from one salomon boot to another

i have a custom footbed in a salomon boot i'm planning on moving to the new boot. i specifically went with salomon again thinking it's going to cause me the least fuss in this process. i have a fairly wide feet so likely the boot needs to be stretched as well.. anyhow, is this something i can do? just move one bed to the other or should i just get a new custom footbed.

You should be able to just move the footbed. You might want to have someone check out the fit with the new footbed and there is a potntial that the footbed will require some work, but you will probably be fine just transfering from the old boot to the new boot.

it all depends form which model to what, but in most cases it should be just fine, give it a try and if it don't feel right have it checked out, there may be a minor [or major] amount of interfacing work to be done

good luck

Pull the stock insole out of the liner and use it as a reference to see if the outlines are the same. Trim where needed if necessary. If for some reason you have large voids or the footbed is noticeably shorter than the new boot's insole, you may want to consider a new footbed.
