Name this trail - Page 11

Heres another, don't remember trail name, just try to get ski area. Hint: its on skiers right as coming down the mountain. This picture was taken 3 days after 24" dumping in 2007, Utah is not the only place that gets tracked out fast.

Very big, great terrain, and luckily the snow was very good!

Sunshine Village gets almost twice the snow

Talked about LL & Sunshine a bit ago and your picture brings back memories of a school skiing trip where I still have an old 5x7 Kodak print taken from the top of Goats looking over to almost the identical spot...a great ski SSV.

Wrong area, right state.I would know the names of the runs at my ski area. By the way this place has some decent glades runs, I was surprised. At the Snowbowl we call them woods, you would like it there because you have to whack alot of branches to find the good stuff. We don't have trees that far apart and alot of smaller stuff you have to work around, over or thru whichever works out best.

Actually I kind of wondered about that, but the last time I was at Sunshine the area between the Dive and the Shoulder (which I think is far looker's right in the pic) was a permanent closure. I guess that fact that it's now called Silver City means its open for skiing?

Trees and snow tend to look like trees and snow anywhere, but if this is at Jay Peak (and I'm not sure it is) then based on the terrain, I'd be willing to bet it's the bottom of Buck Woods.

I'll play too:

Sorry not Jay, but when you go to Jay up 91 you go past it, although you can't see it.

open but on a very limited basis, nice terrain, only one "line" has no air in or our of it. All the rest have some mandatory air time. That with the large cornice overhard make this "sporty" terrain.

It might be that run, didn't really look at the names of the glades but it was Burke.

PDS?

That looks like the 5 fingers in the background, so I'm going to say it's near the France/Swiss/Italian border area, not too far from Chamonix

DING DING DING! WE HAVE A WINNER

Site of some of my best ski days, despite having been to Whistler etc.

Change that, I'll be more specific... it's between Les Crosets and Avoriaz - so right on the French/Swiss border
(the five fingers are the teeth of the south, or "Dents du Midi")

Ok, time to cheat...
I suspect it's Chavenette

Here's another one:

I expect this will be easy, since not may places are this steep and this bumped up.

Nope--but you've got a point, that might be one of the few other steep places to see this much traffic.

I can think of a few places like that but I'll throw a wild guess. The Cirque @ Snowbird?
