In March of ‘12, DSJ got a call from Tom Tanner, manager at Ski Pro Mesa/Tempe, AZ asking whether myself and my wife Karen would like to be part of a promo trip to Red Mountain Resort, BC. After...
My biggest caution: I don't know how on earth they are measuring these things. A 183 barely measures 180. I would have purchased a longer pair online had I known this.
But this is the only...
I got these (184's) on the cheap from an experienced 6ft plus 190 lb. plus powderhound in his late 40's who was looking for a one ski quiver and this was not his ski. I think it might have been...
For dependable snow coverage, you can't beat Snow Summit. Summit is actually half of Big Bear Mountain Resorts so the pass includes Bear Mountain which makes the resort larger than it appears at...

I see there is no Super Pass for the Park City area, and I am going there this January, for 4 skiing days and nights (Deer Valley, Park City and the Canyons). Didn't know about these discount lift-ticket sites: Thanks, I'll save quite a bit with them.
It's kind of nice to just stop by there for the passes in the morning. The one in Cottonwood Heights is pretty close by a breakfast place we go so it's easy. I think they have one downtown too. Depending on where you are there's probably a bus. Link
The Orbitz deal is pretty good - not as good as last years but still pretty good.
Go to http://canyonsports.com/utah_discount_lift_tickets.php , their tickets prices are pretty good for most of the area mountains. Also check to see if your employer has a special deal through your benefits department. A friend of mine got us $50 lift tickets for PCMR by using some of his travel benefits.
Depending on dates, you can get Park City and Canyons tix for much less than Travelocity on Liftopia.
For example, Park City most days next week is $69
Starting January 3rd, The Canyons is around $66
Dont have Deer Valley, but do have some other UT resorts (Powder, Sundance, Brighton).
A little piece of insider info... Park City will be loading more of their "Screamin Deal" some time tomorrow (for future dates).
I've been checking Liftopia, for Park City Mtn., and Deer Valley on a regular basis for the last month, but have seen no tickets listed for them! If you know how we can get the Park City tickets on Liftopia, let us know. Thanks.

Hey James,
So... we dont have Deer Valley unfortunately, however we do have Park City. They stagger their tickets, in that they dont load many too far in advance. There was a $40 deal for the first two weeks of December, but then it sold out (only 25 tickets were available each day). Right now, they have Xmas week deals as low as $68, you can find them here: Park City (just scroll the calendar to the right). They told us yesterday they will be loading more "soon" as well.
Had a quick question. The current Snowbird special says Snowbird Special - good until Dec 25th
Does that mean buy for any date and ski until Dec 25th or just that this special runs until christmas (which it doesn't)?
Hey Lerops,
This is a unique special that had been going on for a while now. Yesterday was the last day you could buy them (had to be bought in advance), but they were good until the 25th if you were able to snag some. The vast majority of tickets on Liftopia are date-specific, but this was a rare exception. Was an awesome deal, we are working on getting another special going with them for certain dates. Thanks for your patience, we will clean up the product.

Oh, I see. I am looking for second week of January though.
By the way, after purchase, are the tickets mailed to the address, or do I print some sort of a voucher?

It is much like buying a hotel on Expedia... you buy through Liftopia, print out your confirmation, show up with ID and voucher, and the name/unique confirmation number on your voucher matches a report that the resort gets on their end.

Hey Lerops,
Looks like I was wrong, today is the last day you can buy the Snowbird tix. You have to buy the ones that are "available" on the 20th, but you can use them any day before the 25th. (Site switches over to tomorrow on Central Time, so once that happens no more 20th tickets sold).
