New Boots

I have new boots arriving from Backcountry today. Great deal. I need to get these fitted and would like to do this myself. The last pair (RS100's) were boiled first. How do I do this?

boot fitting is problem solving: what is the problem?

I would start with skiing on them, and see how they feel, and solve from that point

I assume that you are not asking how to boil a boot?

Yes, I am. My RS100 was put into hot water and that cut down on the grinding. I all ready have the this boot and know where the issues are.

bacon of course....

put the shells in hot water for 10 minutes, heat the liner up too with hot air if possible, then add a footbed, a thicker sock then you will normally wear, liner in shell, buckle WAY to tight, adn let sit for 10 minutes or until cool. (good time to drink a beer)

remove, and try on after you can feel your feet again

Sorry guys, but this is a been a frustrating week.

Puck it. Phuck it. First start by placing a Pub size Chips box on your head, now gallop around your garden swatting Wasps 'à la' fear and loathing. Repeat until one of the forum experts arrive in his 'Puck up' truck and let them finish the job.
