Final Decision.....Armada JJ 175cm
Wanted to follow up as the OP of this thread. After a foot of fresh yesterday at Mammoth I said, "enough research -its time to pull the trigger on this rocker".
The JJ has surely got the most early season 'buzz' in town for this category and my research had been leading me in that direction since on paper they appear to be a good mix of rocker, and new side cut for typical MMSA conditions and my anticipated use.
So it done! Thanks for your expertise. I'll let you know how they perform.
As for binding; I can easily pull a tradition set off an older pair and bend or replace the brake (after paying for these I may need to! No pro form price on this one
) -but I am wondering if these skis need a wider foot print in the binding to get max performance (115 under foot).
BTW if anyone has thoughts on mounting point (purely powder, no switch or parc use) please let me know.
