Since we are talking days (not "quality days"), I do most of my skiing in the mid-atlantic region. Weekends and 2 days in the week. Assuming we start skiing 2 weeks in December, 5 weeks in January, 4 weeks in February and 2 weeks in March, that is at least 11 weeks so I get in about 48 days right here at home(since we have Christmas, New Year, Martin Luther King and President's day). Once the mid-atlantic closes down, I usually ski locally (wisp, timberline etc) for 2-3 weekends, so that is about another 4-6 days. After that, once the local skiing is finished, I'll head up to Vermont/New Hampshire for a 5 days a week and then maybe another week out on the west coast, either California or Oregon. This year I'm thinking about skiing the Tahoe region for 2 weeks. Well, anyway, that's my plan. Hope I can pull it off. The 4 days a week of local skiing however has been going on for the last 15-20 years.
ps: Big Sky is also on the drawing boards.
