new park skis... recommend?

Hey folks... new to the board...

I've been skiing the central CO mountains for a couple seasons now. I'm 6'1" at 155lbs. At the start of last season I bought two pairs: K2 PE @ 174 and Volkl Supersport 3 @ 170. By the end of last season I was riding the PEs exclusively in blues and single blacks, including trees. My confidence is progressing nicely, if not my technique and style.

This year I'd like to spend some time in the park. I don't think the PEs are going to do right by me... they are pretty heavy. I'm thinking something light and short- maybe like the Salomon Foil @160? Remember these will be used for park (and maybe trees)- I'll switch back to the PEs for groomed (and backcountry if I get there this year).

Is this the way to go, or should I rethink?

i would go with the 169 volkl wall center mounted or the k2 extreme in a 169-175(i dont know what lengths they come in)
i skied the wall 9 days this summer and they are solid on all the different kinds of snow on hood in the summer, and they were perfect in the park

Yeh I agree with MHARACER, The 160s would be way too short for someone that is 6 foot 1. I am 6'3"-6'4" 195 lbs and I ski 181-185 cms. But I have been skiing for ten years also.

I agree completely, I have Volkl Karmas, the Wall's ancestor, virtually the same ski, and I absolutely love them. Seeing as you seem to want to ride all parts of the mountain (your old terrain - blues, blacks, trees + park this year), you can take it from me that they do a good job in all of the above.

However, centre-mount them with the new Marker Jester bindings... they're affordable, wicked looking, and great park bindings, I rode a set of them on a friend's Karmas (don't ask how he got Jesters so long ago, I asked the same question to myself).
