What are you sitting on?

I'm on the ball. I'm chained to the desk 8-10 hours a day and my hips were started to really hurt so now I am sitting on a stability ball. Hopefully it will do some positive things to my core as well.

How long have you been using the ball, and how do you feel? I've been thinking about one of those, or maybe a kneeling chair. Gotta do something different while sitting at the computer...

About 3 hours...feels great.

Ha seriously though I just went back to it today. I did it for a while and went back to my regular chair out of laziness and the hip pain returned.

Stability balls are a great break from the desk chair, I started switching back and forth about 6 months ago, and find it definitely has a postive benefit.

I also have a few suggestions for the ladybears and divas among us for things to sit on, but none will relieve back pain and in fact will probably add to it. Other side effects: rosy cheeks, sh*t-eating grin all day, giggling incoherently, uncomfortable walking and the inexplicable need for a cigarette... But Mods may not appreciate my input so I shall keep it PG for liberal use on innuendo.

Just as long as the incoherent giggling occurs after the fact and not during. Ouch!
