It's amazing how an internet community can change your perception. Last year (before discovering Epic) when I got my first issue of ski magazine I was amazed: "OMG! I got my ski magazine in the middle of August, how awesome is that?".

This Monday I was bitching because someone said they already got their skiing gear guide. Oh, how much has changed in a year.

And BTW, I got my first edition of Powder yesterday.

I think Trekchick and I are in the blackhole of mail no skiing mag no Powder mag just going to have to mount new skis for my fix.

Pete watch out first pair of Pow skis for me, now I can speed up.

I can't wait. All the pages on last year's gear guide are stuck together- it's time to re-up.

Glanced at the gear guide yesterday. I hadn't known that 4FRNT switched from Vist to Tyrolia. Hopefully, that will mean that there will be more shops with Tyrolia jigs near us, but I doubt it.

Hold on a second sir. Wolf Creek HAS to open before thanksgiving! I'm counting on them opening the last weekend of October just like two years ago! I hope the weather this year cooperates.

And have you heard that colorado may get some snow tomorrow?

Richard, how do you think they'll be on the Power Line? Was in Montana last week and love that view of Power Line when driving down 90. Where are you this summer?

Pete, I couldn't take new Pow skis down the Power Line, last year was SPECIAL but have you seen skis that have done it very often, ouch.
Have some retired skis that do the Power Line just fine and I'm not worried about P-tex or edges on them.
Still working out of Sandpoint but will take a fire assignment Monday so who knows where I'll be for the next two weeks so you'll not be seeing any posts after this weekend for the duration of the fire assignment. At least most of the Pilots ski.
Skiing Mag showed yesterday have the skis for 09/10 winter all picked out now. Have to buy them when they're last seasons skis.
Huckleberries high up are ripe now best bet N face approx. 10-15 year old cuts and burns.
