I don't have any official information, but my guess is that Keystone will not have another "36 hours" event. It was intended to be a fun time for all, but there were always a few lower echelon derelicts who spoiled the party. Significant vandalism, belligerently reckless skiing and riding, and lots of complaints forced Keystone to have to do so much regulating and controlling that they felt that they couldn't keep the fun factor alive.
It was a lose-lose situation--let it go, and it becomes no fun for anyone; control it sufficiently, and it becomes no fun for anyone.
Too bad--it could be a great time.
