It just wasn't enough as it was......it's now new and improved.
I'm with VA in that I thought it was OK to begin with, but it went from a place to talk about skiing to a vehicle to make the Academy and all it's spinoffs some money.
Of course all the extra doodads are costing.
I've been told that I can start my own damn website, that my non-skiing talk is just not wanted, and Bob Barnes wants to nominate Spinner for president for telling me to Shut The Fook Up, I get a PM telling me to quit bitchin.
I get the hint, Jeez.
I don't think this is exactly where I am at with it Bonni. I'm aware that the demands on bandwidth are more a result of the increased numbers of members posting, than fancy do-dad functions, and this isn't entirely due to efforts to bring in business for ESA. The more hits the site gets, the more posters will directed here, and will be adding to the burden on the servers, which must needs be payed for.
My personal feelings stemmed from the decision to look to advertising for funding, and that it was seen as preferable to asking the supporters to up their ante, or to restrict the privilege of posting to supporters, thus limiting the contribution to the burden on bandwidth to those who were willing to pay for it.
Oh well, people frequently make decisions that I wouldn't, and though I usually think I know better, it's not my place to dictate what others do with what is theirs.
