Since I am bored and strung-out on percoset, I figured I would be the first to say the reviews by Skiing suck, they missed so many skis and I can't believe that gournet food and posh lodging are rated ahead of steeps and powder.

I feel better now.

I like to take the other view. A whole magazine telling people to go somewhere I won't be. Perfect.

you missed my drug-enduced sarcasm... You are correct though!

The magazine reviews are regularly hogwash but they're some of the first reviews you see during the summer doldrums so they end up getting pored over. I tend to pay more attention to the reviews on this site.

Each year the mag's state that as part of the testing process they put masking tape on the top sheets to ensure that the top sheets don't influence the testers opinion of the ski.

If I put masking top on my skis that are clearly the problem why my skiing isn't improving, will my skiing improve? After all, do you really need to buy a new pair of skis to improve your skiing??:

Hey Drugs Bunny - the whole magazine always has sucked. And every good McSkier knows that $$$ food and lodging comes way before silly stuff like...ummm...skiing!*

...and Apeyros - you spelled "Vail" wrong. It starts with an "F", not a "V".

*Note to all hyper-sensative types: the indicates humor.

Un uh - Deer Valley is the new destination of choice due to food and service :. Flail is #2 or 3 or something.
