Not really if Wildcat can do it I am sure you can too

11:30 am some great greek food in downtown SLC, wildcat says I am going to hike in BCC, I tell him thats lame, and that American Fork would be slightly less lame. I was right the caves down in side of Timponogas are some of the sweeter things I have seen. There is no action but I highly doubt anyone has seen these before, we ve all been inside caves but this was is well different.

picture intensive but some cool colors and lighting in the caves, played arounf with no flash and flash wishing I had remote flashes.

On the hike up (1.5 miles 1000 vertical feet) this is your view, very unlike the cottonwood canyons.

Spring time in utah come about month later than everywhere else..

Your looking at over a mile of vertical relief.

Speceled stalactite

I call this Bloody Flowstone

Unworldly

The white stuff is a coral fossil that was fossilized before the first dino stepped foot on earth, thats pretty fricking old

Its Alive!!!! Actually its a just a bunch of Helictite, basically they are stalactites that dont know what gravity is, stupid gravity.

Intenstine stalactites

Cave popcorn and helicities

Sense of scale

Funny thing low light does to colors

Its look like the wall could eat you

Pillsberry Doughboy made of Rock

Soda Straws

The Heart of Timpanogos

I wonder if you go though the worm hole if you can go back in time?

thanks for looking, if you even in Utah Valley head up to the caves its pretty sweet

Nice spelunking effort. I used to go into the caves in Logan Canyon quite often. Interesting, strange and sometimes scary place.

Nice, josh. Its been a long time since I've been in the caves.

If I was not a caveman before, I am now.

Great photos as usual. A day with Josh never disappoints & Utah is never boring, even in July.

Enjoy the mountainbiking, Josh. Back to Chicago for me .

A few more pictures;

The view from Josh's home in Sandy

The view across the canyon at the exit of the caves

The view down the canyon

The looking west at the Tompanogos

It was 100 F in the valley but cool breezes are just a 30 minute drive away.

The caves are neat + it's a fun hike to get there. Thanks for the tr! One of the world's deepest caves (currently listed 13th) http://www.caves.org/grotto/timpgrotto/Neffs.html, is in the middle of our local urban wilderness. Unfortunately the FS has closed it off.
