GTG: Lake Placid Freestyle Training Center

Paul Jones started the idea and to an extent it drew some legs..err wings...err fins... We are tossing around the idea of an Epic/Diva day at the Lake Placid Freestyle Training Center. The day will include trampoline training and runs off the ramps into the pool. We will have instruction for the day, probably Richie Morgan who is one of the US Ski Teams jump designers. You will be required to get a USAA license which is about $60.00, and it is another $55.00 for the day of lessons. So for about $100.00 you can have fun jumping on a trampoline and skiing into a pool with a world class instructor. Personally, I don’t plan on getting inverted and will stay “old school”, you guys (and gals) are on your own past that.

Now, we might need to be flexible with dates because this is the training centers busy season and are pretty much booked out.

I will be up there for the :Huck and Tuck: on 8/23-24, maybe just after that might be good. Lets see what works for the masses.

Thread from original idea: Ski Boots, Water and You.

Warning: There will be cameras and I am sure photos posted here and every where you can be embarrassed.

Pretty cool Phil. You know if I were located on the same coast as you I would be joining you in a heartbeat. Looks fun!

Phil,

I'm with you on this one...

If I'm "inverted" then something has gone horribly wrong ::

Pleeeeeeeeeease don't do it on 8/23... My best friend's MMA title belt fight is on that day and I wouldn't be able to go. Otherwise, I'm down like carpets and wood floors.

I'll be back in Nuevo Mexico then, but I know some people around here that might be interested. I didn't know it was that accessible.

Is this gonna happen, Philpug?

I'm about to bring my skis to Otis and blast off the rope swing or the cliffs...
