Boy, I don't think I've every seen him this excited!

Woo hoo! Halfway there. Made it to Ludlow,VT. Trip wasn't bad - mostly non-crystallized stuff all the way to pretty much Putney (exit 4 I91). Then mixed crystalled and non. I guess by exit 6 mostly open crystallized, (snow) and closed crystals, (ice). Probably mostly ice actually.

I would say that the roads are really starting to get bad now! It's not grippy snow down here, but mostly little white ice pellets.
Will count on four hours to make it to Stowe tommorrow am.!

If you had only gone a little farther.... the road was fine by the time I got to Quechee (went 25 MPH behind a salt truck until WRJ). All open crystal up here. Waxing the powder skis.

Looks like a major winter storm is heading your way.

deep pow for everyone as it could be measured in feet.

Did Trekchick make it to Stowe tonight?

It's icy rain here in Western MA, leaving at 6 am unless conditions are super hazardous, looking forward to being done with the drive....

Outstanding! (I wonder if that set off alarms at some govt. listening post?!)
btw...I take it grandma will have possession of the microDiva and we won't be graced with her prescence tommorrow afternoon?- this is most unfortunate!

Yes, Trek is there, Cgeib and Bob are there. Apparently they didn't throw Treks skis off the plane - or she had someone catch them. She's planning on skiing at 8am. (Probably so she can buy a new pair at 8:30 and be ready by 9)
Bob's going to use the slalom skis, saying "Those who can do" - gee, big surprise!
It's snowing heavily there although the forecast on the stowe sight lists sleet and snow in the am.
So it'll be white!! Maybe somewhat translucent - who knows but'll ge good!

Bob and Chris kept me up past my bed time talking at Charlie B's. Tog, where were you!?
Big gang met up but a few faces were missing. See the rest of you tomorrow.
If you didn't get your Fri Tix tonight, they'll be in an envelope at the desk at Mansfield base lodge.

Hope I make it to first chair!

Twintip and I are about to leave the Northampton, MA area. We took our time this morning so roads would be plowed. All area hilltown schools are closed but Northampton and Greenfield schools are open so main roads must be ok.

TC, if all goes well, we'll see you at the Mansfield Lodge at 11:30!

Just about to hit the road for the drive north. Watching the last shot of the storm passing through VT on the weather radar. Looks like the Friday crew is having an awesome day! Sorry to have missed it, but looking forward to a full, in-person TR at Charlie B's tonight!

the reports from TGR were 10inches of cream cheese with crust on it.

The guys on the reverse camber skis said it was great everyone else said not so great.

I wonder how the guys who insist on skinny skis did? I bet they didnt ski that all day on those ski.

Ah too bad I did not know this without computer! Well I'll blame trekchick, surely it's her fault I never brought it up! I suppose we could've brought the micro to Stu's run on top of Mansfield.
Great to ski with you epic! and thanks for all your work you do to make esa Stowe happen!
