Hmmm, interesting. I think he might have the ones where there is no large fat, obvious screw on the grey SC tab; the tab has to be pried up ~3mm from the back edge where the "thumb print" is, then pried heelwards to expose the diagonally-slotted rubber block.
That diagonally slotted rubber block (that locks in front to back distance over fractions of mm) is why I like the binding: someone was playing modulo math over at Marker to have designed it.
Compare that to the Tyrolia designs where you have to cut or snap off the plastic, this is much more, umm, refined. In a drinking Cosmos with pinkies up way.
