Looks like Ajax will be open this weekend. Any Bears going to be up there? Trying to talk myself into driving over there...

Wanna Come!

OH MAN, I can't believe this weekend of ALL weekends. HOW FUN would it be to go to the food and wine festival and SKI??? I'll be in Jackson, skiing in the pass, as it is currently DUMPING light, flaky snow here in Montana and it was about 20 degrees last night, but my heart will be on the top of Ajax! Have fun!

I'll be there Saturday and perhaps Sunday.

Anyone in the Denver area want to split gas?

Discalimer: I would have to be back in town by 3 for work or 4 if you would be willing to drop me off at the aquarium. I knew I shouldn't have picked up that girl's shift!

Hey, Kate.

I just came over Teton Pass from Victor and it's snowing pretty hard up there. It's supposed to clear up by tomorrow night, so Friday/Saturday/Sunday should be really nice.

From reading your blog, it sounds like you'll be skiing the pass the next few days with a friend of yours who is also a friend of mine. My wife and I might want to try to meet up with you on the top of Glory on Saturday morning if you're interested. I'm pretty sure Jonathan has my cell number. If not, pm me and we'll see if we could hook up.

We're also going to do a ski day at the top of Beartooth sometime around the middle of July. Open invitation to all Epicista's who might like to attend.

p.s. I like your blog.

Ski with Bob!!

Yes! Totally. I have finally managed to pull my act together and get my truck packed : took me long enough!

I'll ask Bob if he has your number, and just to be sure, why don't you email it to me at katehowe@mac.com and I'll put it in my phone when I get there? I'm gonna pull out of here in about an hour.

Sounds like a good time, and Beartooths in July sounds like a blast!!

PS, thanks for reading my blog!!

Email sent.

Drive carefully. It's snowing hard in "downtown" Jackson right now.

Jackson is Hapenin'

WOW. The teeton pass is INCREDIBLE right now. We just skied 2nd Turn, and it was 1 1/2 feet of fresh, soft snow!!!! I'm in a bit of heaven, to be totally honest.

I looked for you in the Pass parking lot this morning. I went up really early (back home by 8:00am) and skied One-and-Three-Quarters Turn. Yesterday's powder was already set up a little but it was still fun. Pretty morning. The parking lot was jammed at ten to 8:00. Amazing for June 13.

Lots of warming up there today, I think.

I think a few of us are going up tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Call if you'd like to hook up.

Skied Avalanche today

Hey, Bob, sorry we missed you this morning, it was amazing out there today, tho, no? We skied avalanche which was beautiful.

We're looking at the weather for tomorrow, hopefully it will get cold enough tonight!!

Give Selko a shout later this afternoon and lets ski tomorrow!!

Ohhh!

I do have to say that this is pretty spectacular. The snow up high is still really good, between 11 and 8000 feet. I've been thinking of relocating to Aspen, but the hard sell is on in Jackson, this place is pretty magical!!

Hi, Kate.

I just posted the trip report. You can find it here.

Thanks again for joining us today. We had a fantastic time. Once you move here, we'll do this all the time.

I've got a bunch of photos that might interest you. If you pm or email me with a mailing address, I'll send you a cd.

Wow, I'm moving to Jackson Hole. I thought Mt. Hood had the only late season skiing!

I don't think you could go wrong with either one!

You know, they are both really wonderful places, very different from each other. The town of Moose, the ACTUAL moose wandering around, the Park right there, the open fields and the abundance of water, not to mention the fantastic and majestic Teetons... I didn't even go into the actual town of Jackson Hole the whole four days I was there, I was very content to hang out in Wilson and putter up the pass every day, and shop at the little organic store there. Idyllic. Just fantastically peacefull and lovely. Ahhhhh...

And you live in Bozeman, my idea of a wonderful place to live. (Well, Sedan is, anyway.)

Remember...

You know a realtor in Jackson Hole.

Ha ha ha! I'll keep it in mind, Bob! And Nolo, you are right, Bozeman is absolutely Idyllic as well. And Bridger, of course, has sick terrain, and is actually the best job I've ever had anywhere, so there's that!
