My weather globe, when shaken, predicts snow over the next week at Whistler. Only the Blackcomb top is open this time of year. I'm not committed to going yet, considering it, but at least wanted to let you presumably relatively good people know that the snow IS coming! Here's a picture of the forecast according to my 9 day subscription.

If you can, you should go. If interested, ping me and maybe I'll be able to go to. I'm 35, dedicated snowboarder, mainly a powder hunter but like all the challenges except currently big drops over 6 feet or so, as I have a slightly injured foot (I jumped more aggressively before my injury but can still ride fine). I know the Whistler side diamonds/Peak lift and off piste pretty well (and some of the double blacks), but don't know Blackcomb much. I travel at a faster pace than average but am not a speed freak (rather I carve hard), I'm looking to savor the moment of powder flotation while blasting the Led Zeppelin, ya know?

UPDATE - Next weekend is the last scheduled time for Blackcomb to be open! I would hope if it keeps snowing they'll stay open, but who knows.

"Blackcomb Mountain remains open daily for spring skiing and riding: April 21 to June 8, 2008"

Operations will be limited to the following lifts: Open: Excalibur Gondola, Excelerator Chair, Jersey Cream Express, Crystal (7th heaven closes June 2nd)
