Best reasons I've seen for a ski upgrade.

So, UTPowder, out of curiosity... how much were the 175s? Is Keith clearing them out?

I mean, I know my wife told me explicitly that she doesn't want a pair of Praxis, but that's just because she doesn't know it yet.

Great thread.

I can tell you this: When I was in junior high I wrestled in the 103 lb weight class. I skied SL and GS on 200 cm Kneissl Red Star Slaloms, stiff as an I beam, and loved them. I not only could flex them, I delaminated them. Don't sell the kids short.

Well my daughter finally got to ski her new Praxis Powders. For the most part I think she did very well on them. I was going to take some pics but forgot the camera. She said the length felt ok but they felt really wide. She scratched up the topsheets on the inside edges becasue she kept getting one ski on top of the other. I also noticed she was picking up the uphill ski a little bit going into a turn. She said the turn really quick but it was a different feeling she couldn't quite describe to me. Also said it made the 6 inches of new feel more like 20 inches. Skied a couple runs with Tromano. Maybe he could post what he thought since I'm obviously a little bias. She was even able to pick her way through a fairly steep bump run on them. All in all she said she had a great time on them. As she gains a little more confidence and gets over her cough and cold I think she will do great on the Powders.
