Skiing with Dan is an adventure.  The greatest thing about it was watching him ski the bumps.  We took a short, steep double black.  I must have put about 30 turns in.  Dan showed us how its done -- maybe 8 turns, and most of the time he was in the air.  There was a tree branch on the right side of the run, and each time down, we wondered if Dan was going to smack it -- nope.  Incredible.  He is a true athlete.

Slight Chance my schedule has opened up... Gonna try to do the legwork here to see if I can actually do it. How much time do I have to finalize?

Bummer -- missed the word about the Sept. trip being off, and the Aug. trip is not possible for me.

Looks like I'll be waiting for winter to ski. Hopefully I can catch everyone at an ESA.

Eric Lipton Chile
PSIA National Team Member
Eric Lipton joins Skiclinics.com in Chile,By Dan Egan / www.skiclinics.com

PSIA National Alpine Team Member Eric Lipton takes charge at Skiclinics.com Valley Nevado Camp this past August. Dan Egan was joined by first term PSIA National Alpine Team Member Eric Lipton at the annual Skiclinics.com Valle Nevado Advanced Ski Clinic and he displayed the talent that won him a spot on the team.   His nick name on the trip was Eric “Ripton”
His presence and skill provided a technical base of knowledge that the clients greatly appreciated and soaked up.
I think the best part of skiing with Eric is his energy for both skiing and coaching. His passion for the sport is his motivation the group responded to both his ability and his vast knowledge. Here he is coaching in the Chimney Chute in La Pava
The conditions this summer in Valle Nevado were perfect for arcing on groomed and in the backcountry for the entire group. Amongst the group was Katie Leake a junior competitor on the North American Free Ride Tour.
