Home decor for a snowboarder

When my nephew was growing up, we docorated his room with a mountain wall mural, imitation rock for his night stand and, rough lumber for his bed frame. My niece, who is very handy in a wood working shop, made him a really cool snowboard rack that leaned to the theme................
All to give him the feel of being in the mountains.

Today I stumbled upon this vinyl graphic for snowboarders.
Very cool!!!!

Wow that sounds awesome! Hey can you "pimp my room" too? Damn, and my aunts just get me socks and gay sweaters and stuff I don't wear...

I've bought my nephew a season pass at the local resort for his Christmas present every year for the past 6 years.
Its kind of the Gift of Time spent together.
With no kids of my own, I've developed a great relationship with my niece and nephew.
He's a college man now and I don't see him so much
I've promised him a trip to Abasin next winter. I think we'll have fun!

Aw, man! How come you can't be my aunt? WTF!?!? A trip to ABasin??? Man I am truly jealous, yet happy for him. He's a lucky dude! Seriously, you need to hang out with my family- maybe something will rub off!

Some simple and cheap changes will make it much more "homey"

Dowels are cheap and a few dozen would be a great replacement for the door to his room. Paint? Grey or pea green is the color most common on the tiers.

A stainless steel toilet bolted to the floor; it doesn't have to work but it would be a great conversation starter.

Window treatments .... the same dowels backed by some heavy mesh on the windows to finish it off.

For some realism, outside add a sweeping light that illuminates the window periodically all night.
