Winning Harts at A-Basin

I am a very lucky bear: I got to attend the diva A-Basin Mother's Day get together due the generosity of my husband; experience both powder and sunny spring skiing during a period of four days due to the generosity of nature; and not least of all, win a pair of Hart's Desire skis due to the generosity of Hart!

I now have wonderful memories of skiing with the Divas etc, and at the same time, I get to dream all summer about trying out these great carvers next winter (maybe I'll have to take them to Chile). I've heard that these are skis that one can fall in love with and that comment just can't be made lightly. I can't wait for them for them to get to my house so that I can begin the oggling. I will have so much fun ripping down the eastern slopes on these skis.

Hart is the type of company that I will definitely support. It has such a great backstory of the grandson of the founder taking back his family's legacy! The skis themselves have a beautiful wood core and the company even plants a tree for every ski made. How can that not win hearts.

I am not sure why I deserve all this good karma but I have to admit that I like it! Thank you to all of you whom I met this weekend and especially to the Hart people for such a fantastic weekend and for making me feel so lucky!

Cheers!

Taw, it was great meeting up with you again. Skiing with you is a total pleasure.
I'm hoping that we get together at ESA again so we can compare skis. As you know I'll be sporting some new Harts too, but I didn't win mine.

After your knee injury in the beginning of the season, you definitely deserve the good Karma you're getting now!

Check out the fun in the TR thread!

I think that the vacation gods are making up to me after punishing me over the years with stressful vacations. Now, I can't stop smiling when I think of A-Basin and my new Hart Desires.

This was a huge weekend for us at Hart. We were sponsoring our first annual 'Hart-fest' (or Hart-Phest as I like to spell it ) at A-Basin working with juniors while at camp also bringing U.S. Ski Team members Patrick Deneen and Michele Roark to teach and give an exhibition. We picked a great weekend because our phestivities (there I go again) was the same weekend as a Epic/Diva GTG at the basin. Chris Farni, our CFO and I were fortunate enough to have dinner every night with the Diva/Bear group. As well as I know the community, it was Chris's first opportunity to see what influence this group has and the power of the virtual ski community. Chris was able to ask a lot of questions to the Divas and Bears and absorbed all the information like a sponge. Hart showed our gratitude by giving away 2 pair of Lady Hart skis to the Divas (along with the skis we gave the winners of the mogul challenge on the mountain).

We want to thank everyone who showed up and shared their knowledge of skiing and ski gear. This is going to be a growth process for Hart and over the upcoming seasons. Chris and the rest of the team are looking to get the Hart back to the top where it once was.

It was really fun to hang out around the Hart tent with Phil and Chris and hear the enthusiasm of the people who had demoed the skis and were buying them. I was thinking of buying a pair myself but then it turned out that I did not have to do that. It is cool to be even on the periphery of Hart and to talk about ideas for the company.

From what i have seen, there is a definite commitment to bringing a high-quality product to the market; not just another ski company offering the same thing. I am looking forward to getting on a pair of pulses next season. On another note, it's great to see the that some manufacturers are taking note of communities like Epic and TGR. It's about time!

There was a phenomenal Vibe around the Hart set up and most definitely a bunch of grins from those who demo'd the skis.
It was refreshing to see the Powers at Hart present and eager to listen to those who were on the Mt.

I was surely impressed with the two I demoed.

It was really cool to have Phil show off the skis that resulted from a prior focus group with the Divas.

I got my Hart skis and they are really lovely. I don't actually have any skis like these so I can't wait until seven months or so from now when I can try them out at Mad River, Stowe or Taos--or maybe even A-Basin again. Thanks so much to Chris and Phil and Hart of course for sending them to me. I am thrilled!!!

I'll meet you at stowe if the conditions are great in December. The dates put a bit of a cramp into family's xmas party social life. I'm not sure that my kids would let me miss all the fun at home with their friends' families but maybe I could come up without them. Would definitely like to go to Abasin again at mother's day weekend or before sometime. And wish I could go to Chile of course....

Congratulations, TAW!

I'm sure you'll love the skis! Too bad about that summer thing, but it will snow again....

Best regards,
Bob
