Hart is showcasing our 2009 skis and will be focusing on four categories, Competition, Frontside, Big Mountain and Freeride.
Hart's Competition Series will consist of three skis, Javelin GS, Javelin SL and the F17. Both the Javelin skis are World Cup legal race skis. They are just as at home on an icy race course as they are on a groomed back run at mach speed. The Javelin series exemplifies the phrase "Win on Sunday... Ski on Monday". The newly-designed F17 Is our "race stock" caliber mogul ski. The F17 continues the long tradition of F17's and not only lives up to the mystique of its heritage, but has surpassed it with a post modern design. The F17 is the mogul ski of the future.
Our Frontside Carving category has the most dramatic changes this season. The Phoenix is our 66mm waist consumer race ski. The Phoenix is for the skier who wants the performance of the Javelin, but wants one ski that can make high speed arcs in the morning, run Nastar after lunch, and hit some bumps till the lifts close. The Pulse (pre-tested as the Stage 1) is a 77mm waist ski that is as comfortable on the groomers as it is in the cut-up crud at the end of the day. During testing, the Pulse was more than once referred to as "The best ski I have ever skied".
In addition, we have added two premium women's high performance skis: The Hart Desire and HartBeat. With help from www.theskidiva.com, the premier women's ski website, Hart worked hand in hand with avid female skiers in design and development of these skis. Hart is building skis for "woman skiers, not just for women who ski". We are confident when we say that the Hart Desire and HartBeat are two of the highest caliber skis currently available for women skiers.
The Big Mountain series also has two new skis this season. The Outback, which premiered at the SIA show in Las Vegas, is a 102 waist ski that will be light enough for back country touring while making turns for you all day down your favorite backside bowl. The One is truly that: the ONE ski quiver. Ski shape has evolved more in the past 5 years than it has in the previous 50. The One is no different. All mountain skis have finally hit the 90's. Not the 1990's ,but the 90mm waist range. The One will push that with a 97mm waist. The Boss is also back with a more modern retro (reverse vintage Javelin) graphic. When you think of the Boss, think of that old school GS ski you had. The ski with no speed limit. The Boss is for skiers who refuse to be limited by their gear.
Our Freeride skis are just as comfortable in the park as they are with some telemark bindings. The award winning Twisted Twin returns unchanged from tests with its tattoo graphics. It is our youthful twin that will spin switch 720's in the park, yet is beefy enough to use and abuse the rest of the mountain as its own natural park. The Attack (formally The Scarab) will do just that: Attack the mountain. No part of the mountain is safe when you are on this ski. it's your mountain... Attack it.
