Did Kurt Fehrenbach not get reselected? I thought I heard yesterday that he had been, but didn't see him on anyone's list.

Weems our head coach, was a D-teamer and was too modest to put on his bio for ESA.

Charlie MacArthur is a current nordic D-teamer!

Thanks Bob Barnes for this info/correction.

I was on the D-Team? Was it in the 60's? Was I conscious?

VSP: Kurt did not try out this year. He was too busy going nuts in the extreme back country spring skiing!

Was very happy to see that Matt Boyd made the team. I had the pleasure of skiing with the Boyd's when they were little kids learning to ski, and boy did they learn. Hard to believe that they are on the National Team, and they learned to ski at Mt. Pleasant Ski Area, Edinboro, PA...the smallest area I ever saw.

Good Luck to both Jeb and Matt, see you guys at the Masters.

Great effort by all, especially the 'old' guys. :-)

Didn't see Paul "PJ" Jones on the past teamer list. He has been a great mentor for me in PSIA-NW.
Cheers,

PJ hasn't coached at ESA, is why he's not on the list, GR8TRN.

Heck yes.

If I may speak as an amateur, Rogan walks on water (even if it IS frozen) and it is a mystery to me how anyone can ski the way he does. Robin Barnes is probably THE best coach with whom I've had the pleasure to ski. I'm more than delighted that they both are there.

I wish this thread could appear in another part of the forums, more visible to all, because it illustrates the utterly phenomenal quality of the ESA coaching staff. No everyday skier (such as yours truly and the majority of other EpicSki Bears with whom I've skied) could get this level of coaching outside of EpicSki Academy.

Naming some of the people whom I've had the pleasure to learn from - Bob Barnes, Robin of course, nolo no baloney Joanie Rostad, Jeb Boyd, and the one and only Weems Westfeldt - there's no way I would even have met them had it not been for EpicSki.

It's truly amazing, isn't it? I share your gratitude, oboe...

Stu Campbell, Rogan, the orginal and ONLY Roger Kane the free thinker (skiing wise), Dan Egan . . . this could take awhile . . . it's just a dream cast of real characters and absolutely superb coaches.

Keep going, Eric desLauriers, Nick Herrin, Deb Armstrong, Mermer, and others who have not coached at ESAs but who I have met as a result of EpicSki... literally too many for my overly-taxed brain to remember... Gratitude on top of gratitude...

Nolo,
I do hope you look PJ up. He is so in the mold of all of your coaches for ESA. I know he is backing off of his official work for PSIA-NW as of last season and is still hanging at The Canyons part time. The guys rips and has more stories that Weems!

I know PJ. He's a legend around these parts.

I'll bet a lot of his stories are about Weems. Both guys live large.
