Backcountry.com is a trustworthy reference for the "regular" price on Dynastar. For instance:http://www.backcountry.com/store/DYN...-09-Model.html
(Legend Pro $799)http://www.backcountry.com/store/DYN...-09-Model.html
(Legend Pro XXL $849)
Most ski brands have a minimum advertised price (MAP), and almost everybody uses MAP as the "retail" price from what I have seen. When you see the ski prices dip below MAP, then it's a discount or a sale. If it's MAP, it's the street price which most people here will consider "full" price. I have no doubt that's what dookey was talking about -- coloradoskishop's prices are inline with the normal MAP right now, supporting his point.
For a true deal, you can use the Epic Supporter discount at Backcountry.com to knock 15% off those prices above. That is a great deal for anyone that needs to buy 2009 skis right now. It's about the only way to get an honest discount on 09 gear right now.
