2002 Freeskiing World Tour

Welcome to the 2002 Freeskiing World Tour.

The Whistler Blackcomb Canadian Freeskiing Championships Presented by Atomic
January 7-13, 2002.

The Big Mtn Qualifier at Whistler will be the only opportunity for non-pre-qualified athletes to qualify for the World Tour. Space is limited so please get back to us ASAP. Sign up with Barb Hamblett at <bhamblett@mtsports.com> or call her at 970.349.1939.

This year we are introducing a ½ Pipe session into the event. This will be an invitation event. Please contact Swany by email <swany@mtsports.com>. Resume and past experience will help in the invitation process.

Jan 9 - Qualifier Big Mtn & World Tour Reg
Jan 10 - World Tour Big Mtn
Jan 11 - World Tour Big Mtn & ½ Pipe Reg

Jan 13 - Weather Day

The US Freeskiing Nationals at Snowbird Jan 29 -Feb 3.
The event will start with an invitational Skiercross (please contact swany at <swany@mtsports.com>) and then a two day Big Mtn event

Do I have to be there again?

I got a little scared and a lot amazed watching some of the athletes go real big, and really freaking fast. Phil Troubat's amazing layed-out back flip off the moraine at the bottom of the Couloir Extreme, and his fluidity down Diamond Bowl were highlights.

Yeah, I'll be there again.
