Thread Starter
Hey guys, i just made a thread asking about a good pow ski an then when I was reading other posts talking of old school gear I was thinking it would be really cool to get my hands on a set of old school DH boards just to give them a try. Im only 18 so almost all of my life has been on shaped skis only riden strait skis once in my life, the fist time I skied. does any one know where you can pick up a set of old strait skis? Im sure it wouldnt be expensive so do you have to scour garage sales or is there some where you can get them?

Super Giant Slalom skis are a better bet.

Only 200 cm? Kinda short, dontcha think?

My Head 720 GS skis are 208 cm. On a long run I might need to turn 3, maybe 4 times.

try Criagslist. Not likely to find 223 cm downhill boards, but you'll find tons of other old school straight skis for 20-50 bucks.

i don't think you could get much more old school though. i don't often see "brand new" unmounted 40 year old skis on ebay.

My garage, under a thick layer of dust. I need to do something with all those old skis hanging around.

I'm thinking of chopping them up into 3"x4" approx sections and tiling the crawlspace with 'em in a random mosaic pattern.

Any ski towns ski swap will have a ton.

I got a garage full of them, but its going to be a while before I get back there.

I have a pair here of 210 VR27's with 957e you can have if you pay freight.
