Jumbo Glacier Resort & Year-round skiing

After reading about the proposed Jumbo Glacier Resort in Brittish Columbia, Canada I wanted to make sure that others became aware of it. Thanks to forum members Feal and Brandon, I saw it in the "Longest ski season" topic posted 10/6. If you go through the Jumbo Glacier Resort web-site: Jumbo Glacier Resort home page you can see what an incredible year-round ski area it would be.

The possibility of 5,500ft vertical mid-winter and 2,700ft vertical on the glaciers is impressive. The scenery is awesome! It is only 27 mi. from Panorama Resort with an easy road access built by the logging companies. The question is: if the was a 7,000 bed resort would enough people go to the interior of BC for skiing in the summer/winter for the developers to be able to expand the winter skiing with all the lifts on the master plan map?

So... 1) Should the govt. approve the development?
2) Will the govt. approve the development?
3) If yes & yes, will it become a new Jumbo Resort?

I hope not, there are enough ski areas already and enough
over developement going on in this world as it is. I say skin up ski down.

It's either pretty flat or they need to hire a real photographer.

I wonder how the Mt. Hood folks feel about these people's claim that they will offer the first "truly year-round skiing in North America".
