That pic of you getting the skis a little sideways in the tight spot reminded me of a song that always popped into my head back in the days when I would be skiing on the longest GS skis I could find. Sometimes I found myself needing to slow down as I came up on other skiers on a narrow chute, or threading my way between hay-stack like moguls, or picking my way through trees that had unexpectedly
gotten too dense, or making a tight turn between a huge ice mound and a cliff. The line was "Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this rig around." I should mention that at the time I was on long skis because of my need for speed, not because I had the requisite skills.
