Have you ever forgotten?

Have you ever gotten your clubs out after the off season, and when you plucked a club from the bag, you realize you have no freakin idea what to do with it?

I forgot.:

Where did I put Betsy's number?
I hope she can fix whatever it is that I broke

Use the clubs to hit one of those little balls into the hole with the flag. I think you have to use the club with the lowest number to hit the ball first and then switch to higher numbers as you get closer, or is it the other way around:. Ok, forget the numbers use the heavier clubs first.

Oh, keep looking at the ball when you hit it, not where you want it to go.

Replace your divots.

No, but it always helps to go to the range and hit a couple buckets of balls before you head to the track. It's less embarrassing and you'll feel more confident.

BTW, I shot the temperature yesterday. 79

(I know, it's not as unique as shooting your age, but I thought it was cool anyhow):

Grip-Alignment-Posture. The precedants to a good swing

Then take your driver-hold it half way down the shaft putting the butt end of the grip in your belly button and practice a few turn backs and turn forward. This will get the torso and arms in synch. Then hit the ball as hard as you can, go find it and hit it again.

And most important:

Get the banana's you left in the bag last fall out of it quickly!!!!

Even worse than that -- I took my clubs out last week and I remembered.

I remembered every little swing flaw that I spent all last season trying to correct. At least my mind remembered it... my body remembers every problem that I spent all year working on: not inside out, smooth take away, forward weight shift, etc., etc., etc....

Maybe it'll only take 1/2 a season to get back to the end of last year this year...

Nothing like lessons to destroy your game and leave you more confused than when you started.

Went to the range yesterday to work on a lower ball flight with a buddy of mine that I play with from time to time He helped me by working on a later release...now to remember what I did.

Still winter here--though we got 9 holes in before the storm. I was surprised how well I did, given I had complete amnesia about what I was doing. Trek, I resonate loud and clear with you on this topic.

Not golf, but similar. For the first 15 years I skied, the first day out I always said "Oh sh*t. I've forgotten how to ski." I remember beiing surprised the first year it didn't happen.

Yes, that is why my first round after a long layoff I look like Phil or Tiger (well, not really LIKE them), but after I remember what I forgot, I suck again

I'd rather have a bank account that looks like hers given her golf course performance lately.
