Fave alpine boot fitter in PDX, OR area?

Thread Starter
Hi Folks!

I've got a set of Atomic alpine boots I'd like to have shaved or blown out a bit. They were built up by Cosmo in Tahoe City and the footbed fit is perfect, but they are tight along the side. I need just a touch of room there.

Any recommendations on top fitters in the Portland area?

1000 thx!

-Ben

(I'll x-post to OR group too)

Mark Elling at Mt. Bachelor (Bend)
Greg Coultier at Hillcrest Sports (Gresham)
Bob Olson (Parkdale) I think he is closed down for the season but you could phoe him for sure

Jim Mates in Seattle. It is worth the drive to go see him.

Mark Elling at Mt. Bachelor (Bend)--He wrote the book "The All Mountain Skier" and teaches at MasterFit University and reviews skiis for one or the other ski magazines.
Greg Coultier at Hillcrest Sports (Gresham)--I live near him, but he makes a lot of sense. No charge if he can't help you. (no gas expense either)
Bob Olson (Parkdale) I think he is closed down for the season but you could phone him for sure--he did Marco Sullivan's fitting(World Cup) and is in residence on Mt Hood starting July for the ski race camps and all the fittings they need

Other than that, you could plan to go to Seattle during Folk Life or something like that and kill 2 birds with one stone.
