Here are eight variations on the N series Look turntable bindings before they went to PLASTIC : with the N89.

If anyone has others let me know please.

N17, N17 w/teflon inserts, N17 Comp, N57 early, N57 Comp, N77 early, N77, N77R

I will follow this up with Marker Rotamat variations, another favorite of mine.

Any other fans out there???

Wow, you are seriously into Rossi/Look stuff. I owned the original 17, mounted on Head Standards, then the 17 with the teflon and gismo to hook the heel rest, mounted on Head Killy's and then Dynamic VR 17's, then went off to Geze because they had the first upward toe release that I knew of. (Spademan and those weird othro types may have been earlier) Sorry, no longer have any of the early Looks, although I still have the Geze's, currently frozen and mounted to my 7S's.

Nice stuff you got there Rossi. I had some on those N77s with the forward brakes on them. I had to bend the brakes back into shape every time I went tree skiing.

Niiice. N57's had durability issues. I saw more than a few toes shear off.

That Rossi FP was a bear of a ski.

Wow, those photos bring back memories. I had the N17 w/teflon tabs mtd on some Kneissl red stars. Those were the days when they considered the centering clip a technological innovation! Those were also the days when you had to back the toe spring off on that binding. We always kept a box of those springs in the shop to replace worn toe springs.

RossiSmash, do you have a museum of classic ski gear?

A small but growing user/collection of stuff that I liked in the 70's and 80's mostly. I'll continue posting pictures and old adds so long as you guys don't get bored seeing the old stuff.

Mine were a bit older, I think, circa 1972-73. They were SLs (vs RS), red with large billboard style white lettering w/racing stripes.

It's really a hoot to see classic gear. Brings back memories...

Remember the little rounded clips that came with the N17's that some boots needed back then so the rollers on the heelpieces would fit nicely?

Also, the safety straps on my bindings had "Look" stitched into them.

Yes! I think for leather boots that no longer held their shape in that area.
Plastic boots solved that problem....

I had a pair that were blue. Not sure exactly the model. They were originaly on a pair of K 2 Comp's I bought them at a ski swap. They were used by one of our local racers. The skis had clear bases. I ended up breaking them.

I then mounted them on Olin MK IV's and the color matched the lettering on the skis! It was the hot set up.

Those are actually the same as the first set on the very left of my pictures, mounted to the HEAD 360's. These early n17's had twin rollers on the heel piece and no turntable cover.

But thanks for keeping your eyes open for me!
